Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has said President William Ruto’s chances of securing a second term in the 2027 General Election will depend on the government’s record of delivering development projects across the country.
Dr Omollo said the Kenya Kwanza administration had prioritised development across all regions regardless of political affiliation.
He said investments in education, healthcare, roads, agriculture and security had improved the lives of many Kenyans and would influence voters when they go to the polls in 2027.
“The re-election of President William Ruto in 2027 will be pegged on the development projects that have reached every corner of the country,” Dr. Omollo said.
He added that the government had adopted what he described as an inclusive approach to allocating resources, saying all counties were benefiting from national development programmes.
Dr. Omollo cited the Luo Nyanza region as an example, saying it had received investment in schools, road infrastructure, healthcare facilities and agricultural programmes.
“Development knows no political boundaries,” he said during a function at Ober Boys High School in Kabondo Kasipul Constituency, Homa Bay county on Friday.

He added that the government’s focus had been on improving services across the country.
Dr. O urged residents of the region to support leaders whom he said were committed to development, expressing confidence that the Luo community would back President Ruto’s re-election bid.
He also called on senior political leaders to promote unity and avoid what he described as narratives that undermine the government’s development agenda.
Dr. Omollo reaffirmed the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to maintaining peace and security, saying security agencies would continue protecting lives and property while supporting a stable environment for economic growth.
The comments come as political activity begins to gather pace ahead of the 2027 General Election, with the government’s development record expected to be a key campaign issue.
