Safarilink Aviation will resume its mid-morning flights between Kisumu Airport and Wilson Airport in Nairobi from November 1, 2026, offering passengers greater flexibility when travelling between the two cities.
The airline will also introduce an additional service between Kisumu and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from 10 November 2026.
The move is expected to benefit passengers who find early-morning departures inconvenient and prefer more time before beginning their journeys.
Safarilink Commercial Manager Rose Kiget said the mid-morning service had previously been suspended as the airline prioritised capacity on other routes during the high season.
She said the decision to restore the flights followed continued demand for more flexible travel options on the Kisumu-Nairobi route.

“The return of the mid-morning flight is a response to the needs of our customers. We recognise that not everyone finds it convenient to travel early in the morning. This service gives passengers more time to rest before travelling, making their journeys more comfortable and convenient,” Kiget said.
She said the decision also recognised the loyalty and continued support the airline received from passengers in Kisumu and the wider Nyanza and Western Kenya regions.
With services operating from both Wilson Airport and JKIA, Safarilink will offer a combined 25 flights a week, giving passengers more options in terms of departure times and airports.

Safarilink Kisumu Airport Manager Bwa Frazier Okune said the airline remained committed to improving air travel for passengers in Western Kenya.
“We are ready to serve the people of Kisumu and the wider region even better. Our commitment is to provide convenient air travel at competitive prices, with discounted fares available throughout the year,” Okune said.
He urged travellers to consider Safarilink when planning journeys between Kisumu and Nairobi, saying the airline was keen to strengthen its relationship with customers across the region.
