\u201cConflicts involving countries such as Russia, Ukraine, and Iran are creating instability. Fuel prices remain volatile, and inflation is rising in many economies,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the main goal of the meeting is to pray for peace, stability, and relief for countries facing economic and social pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is expected to draw both local and international religious leaders. Nigerian preacher Johnson Suleman is among those expected to attend, alongside other clerics from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kisumu County has backed the initiative and is working with organisers to prepare for the event. Sports and Cultural Heritage Executive Committee Member Beatrice Odongo, who represented Governor Anyang\u2019 Nyong\u2019o, said the county will provide support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She noted that the county sees the meeting as an opportunity to promote Kisumu as a centre for faith-based activities and regional unity.Organisers say delegates are expected from East Africa, as well as Europe, Asia, and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Local religious leaders across Nyanza are also mobilising participants from different denominations, including Muslim leaders, to encourage unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Coordinator Phoebe Onyango said the meeting is also a response to global economic challenges linked to conflict. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWar is affecting economies.
