Interior Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has advocated for the re-election of President William Ruto, highlighting the administration’s demonstrable development record as the primary justification for a second term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the funeral of centenarian Eliud Nyikal Okaka father of Seme Member of Parliament Dr. James Nyikal, Dr. Omollo asserted that the Kenya Kwanza administration has achieved significant milestones over the past several years, warranting an extension of its mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He characterized the current government’s agenda as transformative and equalising, crediting President Ruto with multiple tangible outcomes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include the recruitment of over 120,000 teachers, a strategic intervention aimed at rectifying the national student-teacher ratio within the education sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Omollo noted substantial progress in national security, including a marked reduction in terrorist incidents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further cited extensive infrastructure development, encompassing road networks and modern market facilities across the country, as evidence of the administration’s delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Head of State is reshaping the national narrative. We will re-elect President Ruto because he has delivered tangible results to all Kenyans,” Dr. Omollo stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony, attended by a cross-section of local leaders and residents, served as a final tribute to Mzee Nyikal, who lived beyond 100 years. Dr. Omollo eulogised the deceased as a dedicated educator, mentor, and foundational pillar of the Seme community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately, Dr. Omollo issued a clarion call to Kenyan youth, urging them to prioritise the acquisition of national identification cards and actively participate in the ongoing Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expressing concern over regional registration deficits, the PS noted that while the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) recorded 2.6 million new voters during Phase One, substantial gaps persist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Kisumu County did not perform optimally, but there remains room for improvement. In the broader Nyanza region, one million ID card holders have yet to register as voters,” Dr. Omollo stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To facilitate access, the PS highlighted a recent government directive removing financial barriers to documentation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He confirmed that Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has gazetted an extension of the waiver applicable to both first-time ID applicants and those seeking replacements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Omollo also  urged elected political leaders and aspirants to uphold decorum and foster national unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He commended Seme Constituency for its history of exemplary leadership, citing Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o and Hon. Nyikal as benchmarks of political maturity and statesmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
