No family should have to choose between buying food and seeking treatment,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said supporting vulnerable residents to enrol in SHA would help reduce the financial barriers that prevent many people from seeking medical attention..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents who attended the camp described the programme as timely, saying it enabled them to receive treatment they had delayed because they could not afford hospital bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some also welcomed the provision of free medicines and health education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Onyango thanked Kondele residents for attending the event and said he would continue the programme in partnership with healthcare workers and volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The medical outreach has become one of Onyango&#8217;s key community initiatives as he prepares to contest the Kisumu Central parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 800 people in Kondele Ward, Kisumu Central, have received free medical treatment and medicines during a community health camp.
