{"id":25801,"date":"2026-07-31T19:39:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T19:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefocuspaper.co.ke\/?p=25801"},"modified":"2026-08-01T05:22:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T05:22:21","slug":"leaders-back-ict-laboratory-project-at-ojienda-comprehensive-schoolkisumu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefocuspaper.co.ke\/index.php\/2026\/07\/31\/leaders-back-ict-laboratory-project-at-ojienda-comprehensive-schoolkisumu\/","title":{"rendered":"Leaders back ICT laboratory project at Ojienda Comprehensive School in Kisumu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Education leaders and residents in Kisumu County have raised funds to help build an ICT laboratory at Ojienda Comprehensive School in Nyando, saying it will support digital learning under Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fundraising event on Friday was led by Awasi Onjiko Ward MCA Maurice Ngeta and brought together education stakeholders, community members and local leaders, who pledged financial support towards the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ngeta said the laboratory would enable pupils to acquire practical digital skills without leaving the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We were invited by the school, and we want to make our contribution to help build the laboratory.
