The MP questioned why young people were being mobilised to confront those who criticised the government over unfulfilled campaign promises by President William Ruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged young people not to allow themselves to be hired as political goons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Owino also challenged youths chanting slogans calling for President Ruto to serve a second term to assess what they had gained from his administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
e criticised government initiatives that he said provided inadequate support for young people, arguing that providing one motorbike for a group of 20 youths was not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Owino said he was confident of winning the Nairobi governorship in 2027 before seeking the presidency in 2032.
He later addressed supporters at several stops in Kisumu town.
