Kisumu West MP Rosa Buyu has stepped up grassroots engagements in the county as she builds support ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Buyu received a warm welcome in West Seme Ward during a visit to Seme Constituency, where she met polling station delegates and local residents.

The meetings gave the MP an opportunity to engage residents and discuss their concerns as she expands her political outreach across Kisumu County.
Buyu is among the politicians being mentioned as potential contenders to succeed Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, who is serving his second and final term in office.

Speaking to supporters during the visit, Buyu thanked them for the reception and said “In God we continue to trust” and expressed confidence of winning the seat.

Buyu’s ontinued grassroots activities come as political alliances begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 elections, with several leaders expected to position themselves for the Kisumu governorship.
